Purpose

Master the core form of journalism — the news story. This module mirrors the central unit of both Paly's Beginning Journalism class and Lowell's J1 training sequence. By the end, every student completes and submits a publication-ready story for Issue 1 (publication remains subject to editing, verification, and consent). During the launch year, advisor guidance and structured peer feedback provide the editorial support that returning mentors can take on in later cohorts.
