Adapted from Paly's three-tier pathway (Beginning Journalism → AJAMS → Media Leadership) and Lowell's reporter-to-editor ladder. Returning members deepen over multiple years within a K-8 after-school context.

Annual Calendar — 2026/27

Six issues published November through May, aligned to the module sequence so students apply each new skill immediately in a real publication context.

Paly MAC Publications — AFY Mapping

Palo Alto runs 6–10 simultaneous publications. AFY's single publication covers the same territory through its section structure.

The Lowell Sections — AFY Mapping

The Lowell publishes across 8 sections plus multimedia. Advisors can use this to assign mentors by section specialty.
