Families & New Members
New to AFY Journalism?
A bilingual English/Chinese journalism club for AFY students in grades 6–8. No experience is needed. Explore how students learn to report, write, photograph, and publish for their community.
The club meets at lunch on Mondays and Thursdays, starting October 5, 2026. Five issues publish on the web in The Dragon Gate · 龍門, the club's student publication, from December 2026 to May 2027.

Every module carries a Bilingual Adaptation — a specific, actionable way each skill extends into Chinese-language journalism. Students profile Chinese-speaking community members, write parallel-text features, debate translation ethics, and set the standard for bilingual scholastic publishing.
